ABOUT WILD WELLNESS & BIRTH

MY STORY

Hello friend!
I’m Kendall.

I am passionate about helping people feel empowered, whether that’s with their health or as they experience bringing a new life earthside.

The creation of Wild Wellness & Birth has been a very winding path.  I became interested in holistic health during my undergrad at BYU, and was drawn to birth work around that time. Due to finances, I didn’t train until after my first daughter was born. Her birth was long and difficult and very traumatic.  My doulas definitely helped me process a lot of it, but overall the experience helped me see that there had to a different way. about a year later I trained to be a doula and began attending births.

With my second daughter’s birth, I did things very differently, including hiring a postpartum doula. It changed my life, and I knew that I wanted to help other women experience the same empowerment and care.

The more I studied holistic health, the more I changed aspects of my life and began to prioritize investing in myself. I learned about energy work, and began meditating. I began to heal my relationship with food. And I knew I wanted to offer some aspect of wellness to future clients, friends, and family.

I was drawn to foot zoning not only as a way to help myself and my children, but also to help the many people I interact with and heal their bodies.

MY PHILOSOPHY

There are two main ideas that shape the way I view wellness.

The first is that we each have an inner compass, guide, or light that helps us recognize what is true and right for each of us individually. It is continually trying to help us recognize what we need, whether it is spiritual, emotional, mental, or physical.

The second is that our bodies are capable of amazing healing and have a natural state of health that it considers “healthy” or “normal.” In anatomy or physiology, it’s called homeostasis. Our bodies want to get back to this natural state.

I believe that our inner guide wants to help us return to our wild selves and will continually guide us to resources, people, places, or things that will help us get there. We just need to listen and put the work in.
